Daco Combi turret rewinder

Daco Combi turret rewinder for fast efficient rewinding of labels with auto core, tail gluing and roll eject

Daco 3 Combi Turret Rewinder

The Daco 3 Combi inline / offline turret rewinding machines are capable of running both inline with most of rotary label presses or offline with its own integrated unwind.  The versatility of the Combi turret enables the machine to be easily moved from press to press or put into offline operation  in a matter of minutes.

The Combi turret rewinder was developed to over come the problem of some jobs being more suited to running offline, to maximise the label presses speed, while other jobs are suited to running inline with the press.  Until the Combi was introduced companies had to decide if they required an inline or offline turret.

The Daco Combi turret rewinder is the most flexible label turret rewinder / converting machine available today.  The 3 spindle turret rewinder offers quick change over times, which coupled with a touch screen HMI operator interface makes the turret rewinder both interactive and user friendly.

When used inline the machine can be simply positioned at the end of any rotary label press, (no inter-linking is required), and with just an electrical and pneumatic supply it is ready for production.

Turret rewinders are at there most effective when small diameter rolls need to be rewound.  Label printers normally rewind on inspection / slitter rewinders but output is low due to the time it takes for the operator to remove the wound labels, apply new cores, attach the web and then bring the machine back up to speed.  By utilising a Daco turret rewinder you will be able to increase productivity significantly and reduce operator input.

The Daco Combi turret rewinder can also be used offline without any modifications, the turret has its own inbuilt unwind, vertical inspection / splice table with pneumatic web clamps, electronic web guide and quick make ready rotary slitting unit.

Daco Solutions are currently the only turret rewinder manufacturer to offer a turret rewinder capable of running both in-line and offline.

  • Web widths 330mm (13") or 410mm (16").

Standard Features

  • Unwind
    • Maximum unwind diameter: 700mm (27.5")
    • 76mm (3") diameter air shaft
    • Merobel electromagnetic particle brake
    • Automatic taper tension control - automatic tension control.
    • End of roll function - The user is able to program the roll end diameter – slowdown and/or stop - The system does not use any roll followers or external sensors that can be damaged at roll changes.  The diameter is programmed from the touch screen operator interface.
  • Web guide
    • BST electronic web guide.
    • Ultrasonic sensor – enables guiding of opaque and clear materials.
    • Adjustable web guide sensor.
    • +/- 12.5mm (1/2") correction.
  • Draw Head
    • Pneumatically operated silicone nip roller against a driven draw roller.
    • The silicone nip roller does not allow labels to attach themselves to it reducing down time.
    • Fully adjustable via a regulator and gauge.
    • On / off feature to allow for easy webbing up of the machine.
    • Interlocked so that the machine can not be started with the nip roller off.
  • Slitting
    • 3 rotary scissor slitting knives (shear knife).
    • Knife separation - Allows for easy setting of the knife and anvil with the web in place.
    • Minimum slit width: 13mm (0.51")
    • Lateral knife adjustment: +/- 5mm (0.196")
  • Turret Rewind - 3 Position
    • Max rewind diameter: 350mm (13.75")
