The Daco TD turret rewinder

The Daco TD turret rewinder is the ideal machine for converting labels automatically with little operator input. The machine is equipped with a high capacity 1m (40") unwind to keep master roll changes to a minimum. The 3 spindle turret offers quick change over times, which coupled with a touch screen HMI operator interface makes the machine both interactive and user friendly. The machine can be configured with either 1, 2 or 3 rotary die stations.

The machine is suited to the growing thermal transfer market where quick make ready, high production speeds and little operator input is key to producing good profit margins.

There is a host of optional equipment which enables you to specify a very adaptable converting line.

Web widths 330mm (13") or 410mm (16").

End of roll function - The user is able to program the roll end diameter – slowdown and/or stop - The system does not use any roll followers or external sensors that can be damaged at roll changes. The diameter is programmed from the touch screen operator interface.
Web up - the operator can, at the touch of a button on the touch screen operator interface, release the unwind brake to allow for easier webbing up of the machine.

Die Station

10"-24" die repeats.
Rotometrics through hardened anvil - 120T - 15" repeat.
Gearing - 1/8 cp, 20 degree pressure angle.
Lateral die adjustment
Fully adjustable driven capstan roller.
Matrix / Waste Rewind -609mm (24")diameter.
76mm (3") mechanical mandrel for waste rewind.

Web guide

BST electronic web guide.
Ultrasonic sensor – enables guiding of opaque and clear materials.
Adjustable web guide sensor.
+/- 12.5mm (1/2") correction.
Integral splice table with pneumatic interlocked web clamps.

Draw Head

Pneumatically operated silicone nip roller against a driven draw roller.
The silicone nip roller does not allow labels to attach themselves to it reducing down time.
Fully adjustable via a regulator and gauge.
On / off feature to allow for easy webbing up of the machine.
Interlocked so that the machine can not be started with the nip roller off.
The draw roller is driven by a 1.5Kw (2 hp) motor to isolate the unwind tension from the rewind.

Slitting

3 rotary scissor slitting knives (shear knife).
Knife separation - Allows for easy setting of the knife and anvil with the web in place.
Minimum slit width: 13mm (0.51")
Lateral knife adjustment: +/- 5mm (0.196")

Turret Rewind - 3 Position

Max rewind diameter: 350mm (13.75")
3 x 76mm (3") diameter quick change air shafts with auto inflate and deflate (or 3 of customer choice)
Merobel electromagnetic particle clutches
Automatic taper tension control - automatic tension control.
Adjustable core positioning device - ensures accurate loading of cores onto the mandrel.
Holt melt core gluing system - 5 glue transfer wheels.
Automatic roll ejection system - enables easy removal of the finished rolls by the operator
